What happens if I am not satisfied with the painting?
You will see a digital image of your painting once it is completed and at this stage you can ask for changes to be made if there is something you are not happy with. If you are not satisfied when you receive your painting we offer a 100% money back guarantee if it is returned unframed and in good condition within 30 days. In practice we have only ever had one painting returned and in this case the painting was repainted and the customer was very happy with the end result.
What is the delivery time?
We aim to deliver your painting in 4 to 5 weeks. Larger or more complex paintings, or those which are highly textured and require longer to dry, may have a longer delivery time.
Are the paintings framed?
The painting will arrive unstretched and rolled in a sturdy tube. It is much safer and more cost effective to transport paintings in this way. It will need to be stretched before framing which a reputable framing company will be able to do. We are currently compiling a list of framers recommended by our customers.
Are the paintings genuine hand painted reproductions?
We only sell 100% handmade oil paintings. We use no printing or digital imagery. If you wish you can be sent process shots of your painting in development and see the initial pencil drawings and layers of paint being applied.
Who are the artists?
All of the artists are graduates in art or have served an apprenticeship with a master artist. Artists tend to specialize in certain styles or genres so orders are allocated to the artist most suited. One the painting is complete it is checked by a master artist.
What about copyright?
All of the paintings on the site are in the public domain (no longer protected by copyright) or are being reproduced under license.
